FML’s 2020 Leadership That Counts Summer Program Accepting Applicants

FML is welcoming applications for our leadership development program: Leadership That Counts. Open to matriculated undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in accounting, this two-day program is designed to give participants a look into who and what make our company tick, and how life at our firm might work for them.

In the program’s first year, student participants got the opportunity to get to know FML leadership and staff, enjoy teambuilding at an area escape room, dive into real-world problem solving via case studies, visit an FML client, get a crash course in personal branding, and more. FML is building on the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received last year and is growing this program to ensure the students who join us in June get a real feel for life in our firm. Most importantly, Leadership That Counts offers tangible, valuable insight for participants as to what a career in accounting in a growing, regional firm really entails. Whether future accounting staff seek meaningful mentorship from company leadership, engaging business challenges to solve, interesting clients, or a collaborative, friendly working environment from their ideal workplace, FML has something to offer everyone.

Interested candidates for this two-day program can apply by emailing their CV/resume, official transcript, and cover letter to our Human Resources department. Applicants will be interviewed and accepted on a rolling basis.

What Last Year’s Participants Are Saying

“I loved my time at FML these past two days. I learned a lot about the company that I was not familiar with before.”

“I really enjoyed the Case Study we did on Day 1, because it provided a chance to get to know a few of the other students a lot better.  The structure felt more collaborative and less stressful than other case studies I’ve done in the past, and I appreciated how it just gave us a chance to be creative.”

“I’ve been to a few leadership programs this summer, and of all of them, I’ve had the most rewarding experience with FML.”

“I participated in [a Big 4] Leadership Program a few weeks ago, and I think that FML’s program was definitely superior to that.”
