Matthew began his career at a national firm, performing public and private financial statement audits, which included Sarbanes-Oxley procedures. He had over five years of public accounting experience and specialized in audits for clients primarily in the healthcare and manufacturing industries.
Since then, Matthew has supervised and managed financial statement audits in numerous fields, including employee benefit plan audits. He has also performed some consulting for purchase and equity accounting projects.
During his years in public accounting, Matthew has served many high-profile clients, including UnitedHealthcare, Oxford Health Plans, HealthNet, ConnectiCare, Carvel, The Eastern Company and Barnes Group Inc.
Matthew received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, and is a registered C.P.A. He also is a member of both the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
