The day before Yale Innovation Summit 2023 kicked off, I was a live in-studio guest on WTNH News 8 and then recorded an interview with NBC Connecticut.
The theme of this year’s Yale Innovation Summit — a two-day event which convened innovators for impactful conversations, purposeful networking and inspiring lessons of leadership — was “Expanding Impact: Arts, Biotech, Climate, Health, Technology.”
Two other tracks during the event focused on what startups can do to scale and how companies that started in this ecosystem grew over time and became successful. At its core, the annual event is always a phenomenal networking opportunity for smaller companies looking for advice, guidance and investment.
At the summit, I moderated a biotech showcase where 27 Connecticut companies presented to investors in a rapid-fire, Shark Tank-style pitch contest. More than 100 venture capital investors attended the Yale Innovation Summit. We will surely be hearing a lot more from some of the attendees at this year’s event in the future.
